On May 17th and 18th 2017, the ProSTEP iViP association hosts its 20th anniversary of the ProSTEP iViP Symposium, with over 600 cross-industry participants and hot topics in Digitalization for Product and Production.
In line with our participation 2016, we again look forward to presenting at this significant event. Our abstract this year:
As social values and motivation reside in state of flux, digitalization and progression in technology challenge our way of life and industry. We observe significant change in attitude towards mobility and ownership thereof. Demand for material goods yields diversion towards services and derived function within digital, cyber-physical products. Traditional strategies in automotive and manufacturing become deprecated.
In trends towards customer centricity, apple-ization and autonomous driving, future excellence and market success is achieved by digitalization of products and services, and holistic virtualization of the underlying value chain. We present key theses, a digital transformation framework including standardization and segmented engagement strategies, and a multimodal platform approach to address market challenges. In doing so, we derive fields of action and present interconnected building blocks for service engineering and the digitalization of product development and production.
