Cluj-Napoca, 3 May 2018
Starting with 2018-2019 academic year, Babes-Bolyai University and NTT DATA Romania launches the “Advanced Information Systems: Modeling, Design, Development” Master’s Program in German. The aim is to offer an opportunity for students’ development updated to current and future requirements of the IT market.
”Our wish is to support the educational environment through projects implementation which respond to the current requirements of the IT market. As a result, new generations can accumulate a solid foundation of theoretical and practical knowledge. Our attention is focused towards the future, since we wish to cultivate the potential and talent of the students, thus guiding them towards the sphere of IT services." - Daniel Metz, CEO NTT DATA Romania.
“Babes-Bolyai University, always at the forefront of the Romanian university rankings, has been the first university in the country, which initiated cooperation with large IT companies, thereby assuring optimal conditions for students and sustaining their future career. We are happy that we have found an excellent partner in NTT DATA Romania, with whom we already cooperate for years.
The master’s degree program in “Advanced Information Systems: Modeling, Design, Development”, represents an apparent continuation of the existing German-taught bachelor’s degree in Informatics. If everything will evolve as expected, we will be able to make the next step towards the foundation of a Doctorate Degree program. We have the scientific potential, we do have impressively good students, but we do also have collaborations with partners from the international academic environment or the IT industry. Together, we can make an important step for the future of our younger generations.” - Prof.Dr. Ioan-Aurel Pop, Rector of Babes-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca and President of the Romanian Academy.
The education plan is structured on the idea of offering the necessary knowledge for developing and managing advanced information systems, from the basics of modeling, to their development and management. It includes technical disciplines, like Agile Development Methodology, Software System Design, or disciplines dealing with the security of the aforementioned.
The education plan also assures a comprehensive training for the student in areas of such as: Operations Flow Management, Modeling Tools or the Life Cycles of Software Systems.
The academics designated to teach this specialization belong to the Babeș-Bolyai University and more exactly, to the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics. The German Language Section is supported by various partner universities from Germany.
