NTT DATA has developed an App (watch) to support sales representatives in their work. A sales representative has to go through numerous client meetings day by day within his sales region. He spends most of his time between meetings in a car.
Preparation and follow-up work for client meetings consume a great deal of his working time. So far these activities have to be done at the office. If he could make the most out of the time spent in the car it would be a major lever to increase his Efficiency.
NTT DATA provides the solution for professional customer management inside vehicles. Customer information that is usually accessed from a sales representative´s desk is NOW available inside a car. The CRM@vehicle application directly connects the CRM system with the In-Vehicle Infotainment System. The information of the CRM application is mirrored in the Infotainment system and uses the build-in speakers and microphone of the car.
The “CRM function” is started by just tapping the icon. It shows the clients that are available from the CRM System and by selecting a client, several actions appear. Among these, related contacts can be displayed. For each contact individual actions can be performed by selecting the icons in the left panel. Thereby detailed information of the selected contact can be viewed, such as contact’s department or address. The contact’s address information is used to start navigating from the sales representative’s current location to his Client.
The selected contact can be called by simply tapping the call icon and details can be supplied to the client in advance of the Meeting.
The read-out function informs the sales rep about the client’s history, such as already received quotes and their related opportunities. After the meeting the application supports the sales representative with follow-up activities. The “speech2text” function makes it possible to record information via voice command and forward the created message to the Client.
In summary, the NTT DATA CRM@Vehicle application provides functions to:
- read out a client’s history
- send messages using “speech2text”
- Navigate to a client´s address
- Call a client while driving
- Show detailed information for Clients
